What it is

Where regular dry needling targets muscles, connective tissue dry needling targets the deeper connective tissue that holds your structure together.

The needle does two things at once. First, it interrupts the pain-signaling nerves that have grown into damaged tissue, what we call clearing the "static." Second, it triggers a controlled healing response that rebuilds the tissue stronger and better organized than before.

What to expect

We use a very thin solid filament needle, much thinner than the needles used to draw blood. The needle goes into the specific damaged tissue. You'll feel pressure or a quick brief twitch as the tissue responds, then the needle is removed. We don't leave needles in.

Most patients describe the sensation as "weird but not really painful." Some patients feel pleasantly relaxed afterward; some feel a mild ache for a day or two as the tissue starts to remodel. By the next visit, most people feel meaningfully better.
