What it is

Structural chiropractic care uses very specific instrument-assisted adjustments to restore precise vertebral position. Unlike traditional manual adjustments, which use the practitioner's hands to deliver high-velocity thrust, instrument adjusting uses precision tools (Laney Upper Cervical Device, Impulse IQ) that deliver controlled, repeatable force at exact angles.

This matters most for upper cervical work. When the structure is unstable, a manual thrust can be the wrong intervention. The instrument tools let us correct position without risk and with extraordinary precision.

What to expect

Instrument adjustments feel different from traditional manual adjustments. Instead of a "crack," you'll feel a quick controlled tap from the device. There's no twisting, no high-velocity movement. Most people are surprised at how gentle it is, and at how specific.

A typical visit involves 5–15 minutes of structural chiropractic work plus whatever else is on your plan that day (connective tissue dry needling, weighted loading, etc.).
